Background
GAC Toyota is a joint venture founded by Guangzhou Automobile Group and Toyota Motor, Japan’s largest automobile manufacturer. 

 

Challenges
GAC Toyota’s IT department manages its network closely because it knows improper activities can influence the whole network environment such as abuse of internet usage – people will do chatting, shopping and surfing during office hours which reduces efficiency; or internal activities like emailing confidential documents or posting unauthorized statements on the internet can pose security risks; the worse is P2P activity consumes a huge amount of bandwidth which is required by  mission-critical applications.
