Challenges:
Currently, most enterprises’ network interconnection uses Internet or dedicated lines. For using Internet to link, enterprises’ business application will be interconnected either via traditional VPN, or directly based on public networks for transmission and operation of business-relevant applications and data. Staff encounters low efficiency in OA, ERP, file transfer, application sharing and etc. E.g., finance staff may take 1 minute or more to upload a form;


For using dedicated lines to link, enterprises will face a problem of “limited line resources and high TCO”. Dedicated lines’ bandwidth is limited, and actual utilization is low; and due to effects of both redundant data and frequent application interaction, enterprises often cannot get the network services corresponding to the rented dedicated lines’ bandwidth. The most direct solution is to rent more bandwidth, but the costs will go up rapidly.

 

Our Solutions:
  Aimless increase of bandwidth cannot definitely quicken the speed of business’ network applications: low speed of companies’ network applications is not wholly due to network lines. In many cases, “slowness” is the result of too much interaction between application systems’ own transmission protocols, e.g., TCP’s three hand-shaking protocols and ERP systems’ transmission protocols. SANGFOR WANO uses TCP proxy and HTP to replace traditional TCP and improve transport efficiency. Via transmission protocol optimization, enterprises’ often used OA, ERP, CRM and other business systems see fast transmission and response speed, thus avoiding blind increase of dedicated lines bandwidth and Internet bandwidth costs. In fact, via SANGFOR WANO devices, we can obviously decrease dedicated lines’ traffic, and avoid increase of dedicated lines’ bandwidth. We can even decrease fees for renting dedicated lines’ bandwidth in this way.


  To improve data transmission efficiency: For WAN application optimization and link optimization, SANGFOR WANO provides many proprietary technologies to improve data transmission’s speed and stability. Currently, SANGFOR WANO can provide self-adapting dynamic compressing technology for B/S applications, so as to decrease data size and indirectly realize WAN acceleration. As to the Pre-fetch and Flow Cache technologies it developed for redundant data and duplicated data in WAN data transmission, they can transport just the new data at byte data level, rather than re-transport the repeated data. E.g., for 1M data transmission, if 90% of the data is the same, then, by using technologies above, only 10% different data is transmitted.
