Sangfor aStor All Flash

Next-Generation Unified Storage Solution

As business needs evolve, enterprise data centers are overwhelmed by fragmented storage systems and mismatched hardware, forcing organizations into costly, redundant investments. Sangfor aStor All-Flash Unified Storage (EDS) is designed to eliminate these data silos. It delivers a truly unified storage architecture that supports diverse workloads, from mission-critical databases to AI training, on a single platform.

Built on the SDS 3.0 architecture, Sangfor aStor All-Flash adapts to advanced general-purpose hardware to shatter performance ceilings. Whether accelerating AI model training or managing massive unstructured data, it delivers the extreme throughput, low latency, and ease of management needed to maximize the value of your data.

Unified Storage for Every Workload

Software-Defined, Hardware-Accelerated Sangfor aStor All Flash utilizes a fully symmetrical distributed architecture that separates the control plane from the data plane, ensuring linear scalability of both capacity and performance.

  1. Advanced Hardware Foundation: Built on Intel Xeon 5th Gen CPUs and DDR5 memory, the platform leverages end-to-end PCIe 5.0 and NVMe technologies to maximize data transfer speeds.
  2. High-Speed Interconnects: The architecture employs RDMA (Remote Direct Memory Access) for internal communications, significantly reducing latency and CPU overhead compared to traditional TCP/IP.
  3. Efficient Scalability: Starting with a minimum of just 2 nodes in a 2U integrated disk-controller unit, the cluster creates a shared storage pool that scales out linearly, allowing you to grow as your data grows without complex data migrations.
  4. Unified Storage Pool: A single resource pool supports diverse protocols including iSCSI/NVMe-oF (Block) and NFS/CIFS/NFS+ (File), eliminating the need for fragmented storage silos.

Advanced Features & Value Propositions

Ultimate High Performance

  • Extreme Throughput: A single all-flash unit delivers up to 122GB/s read throughput and 37GB/s write throughput.
  • Million-Level IOPS: Capable of over 1 million IOPS (1,010,000 IOPS for SAN 8K Read), ensuring data flows as fast as your applications require.
  • Ultra-Low Latency: Through end-to-end NVMe optimization and a streamlined protocol stack (reducing interactions from 4 to 2), aStor achieves latency as low as 100µs, ideal for latency-sensitive databases.
  • AI Acceleration: Features like GDS (GPU Direct Storage) and NFS+ over RDMA bypass CPU bottlenecks, delivering data directly to GPUs to maximize utilization during AI training and inference.

Ease of Use & Intelligence

  • Unified Data Governance: Sangfor aStor All Flash intelligently manages hot and cold data. Hot data resides on high-performance NVMe flash, while cooling data automatically tiers to capacity-optimized hybrid flash or NAS.
  • Efficient Block-Level Tiering: Unlike file-based tiering, Sangfor aStor All Flash uses block-based tiering (64MB chunks). This improves tiering efficiency by 40% and minimizes performance impact, retaining read cache even after data is flushed to cold tiers.
  • Global Namespace: Users access data through a single unified view, regardless of whether the data is on the local all-flash cluster, a hybrid cluster, or the cloud.

Enhanced Security & Reliability

  • 99.9999% Reliability: A multi-level reliability framework ensures 6-nines availability, guaranteeing business continuity.
  • AI-Driven Ransomware Protection: Built-in AI engines based on the Engine Zero model detect abnormal file I/O behaviors in real-time. If ransomware is detected, the system triggers secure snapshots to protect data and can automatically intercept malicious access.
  • Native Data Protection: Comprehensive features include WORM (Write Once, Read Many) for compliance, Recycle Bin for accidental deletion recovery, and continuous end-to-end data integrity checks.
  • Fast Recovery: In the event of a single controller failure, services recover within 10 seconds. Even with consecutive drive failures, I/O interruption is limited to 1 second, ensuring zero disruption.
