1. Customer Background

Yayasan Dana Pensiun was established in 1976, changing its name to Dana Pensiun Perkebunan in 1997. Dana Pensiun Perkebunan operates as a pension fund, offering fund management solutions. Dana Pensiun Perkebunan serves customers in Indonesia, and manages professional defined benefit pension plans to maintain the sustainability of old age income for all participants.

2. Customer Demands

Dana Pensiun Perkebunan runs on state funding, and is regularly audited.Stakeholders require a Disaster Recovery center to maintain their business through any disaster, as their current infrastructure was not suited to a DR environment, with all their applications running on  physical servers. There are 4 physical servers running, including ERP systems , Database , Business Intelligenceand Development Server. All servers were running on the IBM/Lenovo x3650 series servers. Sangfor proposed their hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solution in the Data Center, in addition to a Disaster Recovery Center with the following functions:

  • RPO  within 1 hour
  • Increased SLA and user satisfaction in each subsidiary
  • Disaster recovery and data center easy to manage, maintain, and flexible
  • Excellent future scalability options
  • Single pane-of-glass monitoring for the disaster recovery and data center
  • The disaster recovery and data center protected on both sites from any harmful traffic
  • Users should be able to connect to both  the disaster recovery and data center, using a secure tunnel link

3. Sangfor HCI Solution

  1. Sangfor proposed four x86 servers - two clusters of aServer 2005. One cluster of 2 aServer 2005 in Data Center and one cluster of 2 aServer 2005 in the Disaster Recovery center, with a maximum of 64 servers per cluster.
  2. Sangfor HCI built-in backup provides offsite backup with RPO of 1 hour
  3. Using 4 NGAF solutions, 1 NGAF for each gateway firewall in the  disaster recovery and data center, and another 1 NGAF each for SSL VPN in the disaster recovery and data center
