Sangfor Technologies, a leading vendor specializing in enterprise-level security, cloud computing and IT infrastructure solutions, is proud to announce that it has been recognized as a Sample Vendor in the recent Gartner report released on 21 July entitled “Hype Cycle for ICT in China, 2020”, for the Cloud Security in China and Hyperconvergence categories.
Gartner’s Observations on Cloud Security from the Research
"In China, we observed that cloud security is the one of key obstacle to slow down the large enterprise cloud migration journey. Enterprise cannot expected that cloud security vendors deliver a one-size fits all solution as it fits in on-premises. In China market, most of local vendors focus on the cloud workload protection to help client use public cloud safely. But enterprise need understand the security capability gap between physical infrastructure and cloud service environment and start to transform security capability to fit for hybrid infrastructure in future". The above is the verbatim text of the Cloud Security section from the Gartner report.
Gartner’s User Advice on Hyperconvergence from the Research
"IT leaders should implement hyperconvergence when agility, modular growth and management simplicity are of greatest importance. The acquisition cost of hyperconvergence may be higher and resource utilization rate lower than for three-tier architectures, but management efficiency is often superior". The above is the verbatim text of the Hyperconvergence section from the Gartner report.
About Sangfor Cloud Security & Hyperconvergence
With the increasing deployment of cloud computing technology, hyper-convergence has become more and more mature in terms of concepts, technologies, products and markets, and has now become one of the most potential data centre infrastructures. Sangfor has carried out a hyper-converged business layout based on user needs once the concept appeared. In 2015, Sangfor completed the extensive delivery of computing virtualization, storage virtualization, and network virtualization products and launched the Sangfor HCI architecture in which incorporated its security concept.
The market of hyper-convergence infrastructure is further expanding. Not only are customers expanding from medium-sized customers to large enterprises, but application scenarios are also expanding from server virtualization, VDI, branch office scenarios to key businesses, databases, Cloud data centres and other important scenarios. More and more enterprises are beginning to reshape their IT infrastructure. In recent years, Sangfor HCI has gradually formed a data centre layout of virtualization, hyper-convergence, cloud data centre, and distributed hybrid cloud. With the increasing deployment and recognition of users, Sangfor has played a significant leading role in the hyper-converged market.
Sangfor leverages from its extensive security experience and has integrated core security features from its Next Generation Firewall (NGAF), Endpoint Security (Endpoint Secure) and XDR (Cyber Command) into its HCI. In scenario such as Zombie Network, Sangfor Cyber Command works with distributed firewall to quarantine infected cloud host automatically. If an organization is infected with ransomware, the Cyber Command leverages storage snapshot API to take snapshot of the infected VM to minimize loss. It can also protect the user against crypto-mining by sending command to power-off or suspend the infected VMs to avoid any unnecessary resource consumption.
Sangfor HCI is also recognized for its expanded DR and cloud management functions and adding a stretched cluster and vGPU solutions, all functions designed to improve performance, manageability and reliability. Of special note is the expansion of the Sangfor Community, a technical resource for online support, guidelines and community sharing, putting a wealth of information at the disposal of all Sangfor customers. An emphasized focus on localization of 24/7 services and after-sales partnership has gained Sangfor international recognition in the EMEA and APAC regions.
Sangfor HCI currently serves more than 6,000 customers globally, including PT ASABRI, TEK Group Italy, Crowne Plaza Vietnam and TOSHIBA TEC Singapore, as more world-class enterprises seek out Sangfor to future proof their business in the digital age.
Sangfor Technologies has also been listed in the 2019 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Hyperconverged Infrastructure, and also the latest report of "Gartner Peer Insights 'Voice of the Customer': Hyperconverged Infrastructure" 2020.
