What is the Hardware Instant Replacement service?
Sangfor understands the criticality of maintaining business continuity in the event of device failure. That’s why we offer the Sangfor Hardware Instant Replacement service, which aims to help you avoid prolonged business downtime caused by hardware failures with timely device replacements. After you submit a replacement application, Sangfor will send the brand new replacement in one day after hardware failure been confirmed at no extra cost (application confirmed after 15:00 will be dispatched before the next day noon). Additionally, if you have been using the old device for over 4 years and never broken, we will provide you with a brand-new device of the same model or equivalent completely free of charge, helping you save money on purchasing a new device.
The Hardware Instant Replacement service is currently available for Sangfor NGAF and Sangfor IAG. More products will be available in the future.
- At the time of purchase: You can subscribe to the Hardware Instant Replacement service when you first purchase a device from Sangfor or the local reseller. The IR service is bound to the device and begins on the date it is activated. You can subscribe to a 1-year, 2-year, 3-year, 4-year, or 5-year service plan, depending on your specific requirements.
- After the time of purchase: If you do not subscribe to the Hardware Instant Replacement service at the time of purchase, you can also subscribe to the service any time within 5 years of the purchase date.
If your device experiences a failure during the Hardware Instant Replacement service period, you can contact Sangfor or the local reseller, and we will send the brand new replacement in one day after hardware failure been confirmed (application confirmed after 15:00 will be dispatched before the next day noon). - You are required to return the faulty device to Sangfor within 30 days of receiving the replacement device. Failure to do so will result in being charged for the replacement device at its list price at the time.
- If you have continuously subscribed to the Hardware Instant Replacement service for more than 4 years, and your device is over 4 years old, you are eligible to apply for a new device of the same model or equivalent from Sangfor or the local reseller at no additional cost. That means you can continue to receive a new device every 4 years without incurring any extra costs.
- If you would like to purchase a more advanced version of the device after your device fails during the Hardware Instant Replacement service period, you will need to cover the price difference between the old device and the advanced device.
- After your faulty device has been replaced, the license and service bound to the old device will be directly transferred to the new replacement device.
- Sangfor will cover all shipping costs for sending the replacement device from Sangfor to your location. However, you will be responsible for all the shipping costs for returning the faulty device from your location to Sangfor.
When the Hardware Instant Replacement service is nearing expiration, Sangfor or the local reseller will reach out to you for renewal. Alternatively, you may also contact Sangfor or the local reseller to initiate the renewal process. You have the option to renew for 1 year, 2 years, 3 years, 4 years, or 5 years, depending on your requirements.
You may decide not to renew your Hardware Instant Replacement service contract upon expiry if your circumstances and requirements change. However, if you decide to reinstate the contract at a later date and maintain your continuous service subscription status, thus remaining eligible for a new device after 4 years, you will be required to pay the service fee that was incurred during the period without coverage. This service fee covers both the Hardware Instant Replacement service and the HRTF service, and the duration without coverage will be calculated to the nearest month.
No, the Hardware Instant Replacement service subscription can only be bound to one device and cannot be freely transferred to another device.
- Man-made causes: problems caused by the failure to follow product instructions or failure to perform preventive maintenance, problems caused by product abuse or misuse, etc.
- Physical causes: problems caused by compression or dropping of the device.
- The device is not within the validity period of the Instant Replacement service.
- Problems caused by using accessories, parts, or components not supplied by Sangfor.
- Force majeure: Sangfor shall not be responsible for any failure in performance due to causes beyond its reasonable control (such as fire, explosion, power blackout, earthquake, flood, severe storms, strike, embargo, labor disputes, acts of civil or military authority, war, terrorism including cyber terrorism), acts of God, acts or omissions of Internet traffic carriers, actions or omissions of regulatory or governmental bodies (including the passage of laws or regulations or other acts of government that impact the delivery of Services).
