Basic Guarantee Term:
SANGFOR provides 5 years hardware and software support guarantee since the date end user purchases the solution:
- The Hardware is guaranteed to support the latest software version release within the 5 years period.
- End user is guaranteed to be able to receive hardware and software support for at least 5 years. This includes hardware support and software support terms as listed on SANGFOR support policy.
The basic guarantee term acts as the minimum support guarantee and is able to
override End-of-life policy. SANGFOR reserves the right for final explanations.
End-of-Life (EOL) Policy
SANGFOR End-of-life policy defines its product software and hardware end of
life, end-of-sale cycle and the corresponding service policy. The aim of SANGFOR
End-of-life policy is to keep our customers and partners updated with SANGFOR
products EOL information and also to guarantee the service and benefits of each
party.
For hardware platforms, the following
End-of-Life policy applies:
- SANGFOR will provide 3 months notice prior to a product's end of sale, at
which time the product will no longer be available for order.
- SANGFOR will provide technical assistance for a period of 5 years following the End-of-Sale date, provided a valid
service contract is maintained on the product.
- Software will continue to be supported per the below software policy. In
addition, the last feature release available on the hardware platform in EOL
will continue to be supported for the duration of the hardware EOL support.
Software support may include technical support, bug fixes, maintenance
releases, and patches for critical bugs.
- Hardware replacement or replacement parts will be available for 5 years following the
End-of-Sale date, provided a valid service contract is maintained on the
product. At SANGFOR discretion, hardware may be replaced with similar or
equivalent product.
- A product must be covered on a support contract as of the End-of-Sale date
to be eligible for renewal. Support contracts may be renewed for the
duration of the End-of-Life cycle, but cannot lapse during this time and be
re-instated later.
For software products and releases, the
following End-of-Life policy applies:
- The software release of a major release cycle will be supported for a period
of 2 years.
- Support includes technical support, bug fixes, maintenance releases
workarounds, and patches for critical bugs.
- A product must be covered on a support contract as of the End-of-life date
to be eligible for renewal. Support contracts may be renewed for the
duration of the End-of-Life cycle, but cannot lapse during this time and be
re-inserted later.
End-of-Life: The last day that a product will be supported by SANGFOR Technologies.
End-of-Sale: The last day
that a product will be available for order from SANGFOR Technologies .

End-of-Sale Announcement for SANGFOR NGFW M5000-F-I

Today on the 30 September 2015, SANGFOR Technologies is announcing an
End-of-Sale (EOS) for SANGFOR NGFW M5000-F-I. As per our current End-of-Life
policy, the NGFW M5000-F-I will be available for sale until the EOS date and
will be supported for 5 years following the EOS date of December 30, 2015,
provided the units are kept under a valid and uninterrupted support contract.
