Lanificio F.lli Cerruti S.p.A. was founded in 1881 in Biella, the cradle of the Italian textile tradition, by brothers Stefano, Antonio and Quintino Cerruti, who came from a long line of textile devotees dating back to 1700. The company expanded steadily over time and focused on production exclusively on the highest quality fabrics from the second post war.

With a workforce of 400+ employees and 2 branches in Asia Pacific region as well, the mill is now selling in more than 60 countries around the world, providing a collection of fabrics for Men, Women and Bespoke intended for a more discerning and fulfilled clientele.

Business Challenges

With the development of global business, Lanificio F.lli Cerruti S.p.A. needed to renew their data center.

Therefore, they had the following business resquirements:

  • Server virtualization to handle 25 - 30 virtual machines to support every IT service, such as active directory authentication, file sharing, virtual IP phone service, database, administration, management and production software and others, with stability and high availability
  • A simple migration process from the actual environment to the new one
